In 2017, Loranocarter hired Lauren as a volunteer to help with their communication program
Lauren was excited to start her new role as a volunteer with Loranocarter.
Lauren is a student at the University of Oregon, and she volunteered with Loranocarter as part of her studies. Lauren works as a communication coordinator for Loranocarter.
As a communication coordinator, Lauren helps to create and distribute newsletters, social media content, and other communications materials. She also coordinates events and meetings for Loranocarter volunteers.
In her role with Loranocarter, Lauren helps to disseminate information about the organization and its services to the community. She is a valuable member of the team, and she has made a positive impact on the lives of many people in Oregon.

I have been working with people with dementia for the past two years as a volunteer at the Oregon Memory Project in Portland, Oregon. The Oregon Memory Project is a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to caregivers and family members of people living with dementia. I have learned so much about this disease and the people who live with it during my time there.
The Oregon Memory Project offers a variety of services, including dementia care, respite care, education programs, social events, and more. They also provide support to family members of people living with dementia through their caregiver program. This program provides resources such as education on how to care for someone with dementia, support groups, and counseling.
Volunteers like me come from all walks of life. I have worked in many different industries over the years, but I have never had the opportunity to work with people who are living with a chronic disease like dementia. It’s been a long journey, but I can finally say that Loranocarter Oregon is on the map. Over the past few months, I’ve worked tirelessly to put together an organization that will be able to bring lasting change to our community. I have also been working hard to further my education and gain the skills necessary to help me make a real impact in the world.
